Baylin Artists Management proudly announces that three of its performing ensembles – Turtle Island Quartet, Luna Negra Dance Theater and Viver Brasil were selected for showcases at the Arts Midwest and Performing Arts Exchange conferences in the Fall of 2010.

Two-time GRAMMY® award winning string ensemble Turtle Island Quartet will be perform in a Spotlight Showcase at the Arts Midwest Conference on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 from 6:55 – 7:10pm at the Indiana Repertory Theater in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Quartet will be performing selections from their newly released album Have You Ever Been… a collection of original compositions featuring the music of legendary guitarist, songwriter, and performer Jimi Hendrix.

Dynamic and energetic dance company Luna Negra Dance Theater is set to perform Flabbergast!, a piece created by newly appointed artistic director Gustavo Ramírez Sansano. Luna Negra’s Spotlight Showcase performance at the Arts Midwest Conference will take place on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 from 8:35 – 8:50pm at the Indiana Repertory Theater in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Viver Brasil’s inspiring cultural dance and song will be showcased at the Performing Arts Exchange on Friday, October 1, 2010 from 7:50 – 8:05pm at the August Wilson Center for African American Culture in Pittsburgh, PA. The group’s authentic and exciting program Feet on the Ground won this year’s Lester Horton Dance award for Outstanding Achievement in World Dance.
