Have You Ever Been... - Touring 13-14

Through their exploration of jazz, classical, American vernacular and world music styles, the two time GRAMMY®  award winning Turtle Island Quartet has taken its audiences on a journey through numerous musical genres and places including the American landscape, Latin America, Europe, and India.

On their most recent recordings, Turtle Island has focused on the music of two pioneering giants from different musical worlds, John Coltrane and Jimi Hendrix. Have You Ever Been…features works from both recordings as well as other compositions reflective of and inspired by Coltrane and Hendrix including selected movements from TIQ founder David Balakrishnan’s new composition “Tree of Life.”
